The interactive version (with specific city names) is here. The concentration of food deserts in the southern U.S. surprises me. For whatever reason, I assumed there would be more in the northeast and maybe out west in states that are less densely populated.

8 miles in 1:12:47 on my local quasi-trail. Not bad after yesterday’s 18.2, but if I had warmed up a little faster I would have been a little faster. Ran the last lap (2.4 miles) in the Minimalist shoes, getting to where I really like those, but this is a little hard of a trail for them.

2011 will be a serious year running ultramarathons. Tonight is my wife’s office Christmas party, which combines two things I hate: Christmas parties, and my wife’s coworkers. Howevah:
Tomorrow is the annual Runapalooza. Wherein our hero takes three days at the cabin and tries for 50 miles total on some nice singletrack trail. Then the place to myself for the footballs.
