8 miles in 1:12:47 on my local quasi-trail. Not bad after yesterday’s 18.2, but if I had warmed up a little faster I would have been a little faster. Ran the last lap (2.4 miles) in the Minimalist shoes, getting to where I really like those, but this is a little hard of a trail for them.

If I can just survive tonight
Tonight is my wife’s office Christmas party, which combines two things I hate: Christmas parties, and my wife’s coworkers. Howevah: Tomorrow is the annual Runapalooza. Wherein our hero takes three days at the cabin and tries for 50 miles total on some nice singletrack trail. Then the place to myself for the footballs. Just survive tonight.
